Ember was founded in 2018 by

Tariq Azmi and Jonathan Sanchez.

Both Tariq and Jonathan had longtime careers in the tech and cybersecurity industry prior to founding Ember Technology.

When Ember first started, we aimed to be more than just another managed services company. So, we specialized, focusing on the needs of the healthcare industry, the defense industry, and the financial industry.

In 2022, Ember joined the Soteria family of companies, and is now able to fully concentrate our efforts into CMMC and regulatory compliance.

Tariq has worked in all aspects of IT; support desk, project management, data analysis, etc. He worked for the Kansas Bureau of investigation where he gained much of his knowledge and experience in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics. Tariq is a CCP-pending and PI with the Cyber–AB.

Jonathan was a technology operations entrepreneur working primarily with the healthcare industry, specializing in HIPAA and HITECH compliance; as well as an adjunct professor at Friends University. Jonathan unfortunately passed away in early 2022, but Tariq and the team are committed to honoring his memory by continuing on with his vision for Ember.
